There's never been a better time to give through the Community Foundation. For busy businesses it can be difficult to find the time and expertise to approach corporate giving efficiently. Knowing that your money is going to the right place, and dealing with the day to day hassles of on-going administration can be daunting.

We can not only provide expert advice on local needs and match your donation to a charity that links to your charitable objectives, but can also significantly boost your donation! Until March 2011 we can double the size of your donation through the Government's Grassroots Programme. This exciting incentive scheme aims to encourage people to give to their local communities. For every £1 you donate to a permanent fund, the Government will match with a further £1 and when gift aid and tax advantages are included your investment could increase by up to 341%.

This programme is time limited and will finish by March 2011.

There are several different giving options:

Setting up a Named Fund

If you have over £10,000 to donate you can set up your own Company Trust Fund. We can do all of the initial set up for you through to managing all the on-going administration and grant distribution.

Contributing to the Surrey Chambers Community Fund

We are working in partnership with the Surrey Chambers of Commerce on a Surrey-wide Community Fund. This makes it really easy for local businesses to manage their charitable giving and helps support local organisations that are involved in training, skills development and business skills.

Payroll giving

Registering your company for Payroll Giving, or Give As You Earn, makes giving to charity easy and tax efficient for all employees. Donations are taken directly from the individual's salary before tax is calculated so that their gift goes further. For example, for a higher rate tax payer, a donation of £20 a month costs only £12.
