Esher Community Fund
How To Give
Take the Esher Neighbourhood Challenge – help us raise £150,000!
We are asking local people to get involved by taking the challenge to help us raise £150,000. The really good news is that we can match every £2 donation to the Fund with a further £1, thanks to a pioneering new Neighbourhood Challenge project, funded by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) and the Big Lottery Fund. If you are a tax payer we can also claim Gift Aid on your donation which means it will nearly double in size. For example,
Donation of £500 Plus gift aid of £140 = £640 Plus match funding of £320 = £960
|
However, this match challenge only runs until April 2012 so we need you to act now. |
The Esher Neighbourhood Fund will be a permanent fund which will grow over time and will always be available to help make a significant contribution to local needs. Interest from the Fund will be distributed as grants to a wide range of local community causes including projects in the Lower Green area. Together we believe that we can build a better future for everyone in our community.
Your donation could enable us to:
- Set up a food bank - to help families cope when there is a real cash crisis.
- Enable local people without qualifications to study for a NVQ so that they stand a better chance of getting a job to support their families.
- Provide essential IT training and facilities to help those without cars to get online and access services like supermarket shopping.
