Comic Relief Funding

Comic Relief Funding is now available, through Community Foundation for Surrey, to support local community and voluntary groups across Surrey. The programme will benefit;
Community Projects
The remaining Comic Relief funding will go community projects that;
- Increase local services
- Build skills of local people
- Increase community cohesion
- Respond to local economic needs
Both parts of the programme aim to empower local people and enable them to create lasting change in their communities.
Please note: Grants will only be awarded where the grant makes up at least 50% of the total costs of the project.
Who can apply:
Voluntary and community groups which are charitable in purpose and are working for the benefit of people in Surrey are eligible;
Organisations don’t have to be registered charities but should have a signed constitution (or set of rules) and a bank account that requires two signatures. (Please note: Guidance is available to help you to create a Constitution).

The Comic Relief Fund will not award grants for the following:

£1,000 - £10,000

The Comic Relief programme will run in 2011/12 and 2012/13.

Assessment of applications:
Once both Part A and Part B of your application have been received, a letter acknowledging receipt of your application the timescale for assessment will be sent to you.
Your application will be assessed against the Comic Relief criteria. Where appropriate, we will contact you to obtain any further information.
Applications will be considered by the Trustees of the Community Foundation for Surrey following recommendations from the Comic Relief Panel, consisting of representatives from a range of community, charity and sports organisations in Surrey.
