Who We Support
Surrey Heath
The Hubble Van
"Having a grant towards a van helps us to reach more young people – children jump up and wave as we drive past!"
Hubble Community Enterprise was set up in November 2006 to promote the educational wellbeing of children who live within the Watchetts area of Surrey Heath. The group use puppets to enable children to find their voice and build confidence and self esteem through learning puppetry. However, without their own transport they were finding it hard to get equipment out to groups for after school clubs and shows. Their £5,000 Grassroots Grant has enabled them to purchase a second hand van which means that they can go even further afield and benefit even more children.

Heathland Conservation Society, Camberley
The aim of the Healthland Conservation Society is to conserve and protect the environment around Camberley and in particular the fragile Heathland. Over 70% of the Heathland has been lost since 1830 due to agriculture, forestry, industry, housing and neglect. The work that the volunteers do therefore is essential to maintain this rare environment for the enjoyment of future generations.
The group were keen to find funding for a radio system to enable them to work more efficiently and safely. We were able to help them purchase a specialist radio system with a £3,088 grant from the Three Valley's Water Fund. The radio now enables the group to work over a larger terrain and continue their valuable conservation work.
